Easily the worst lump of all time. (hematoma) George Mann grew a second head during his Muay Thai bout at ONE Championship. Taking on legend, Smokin’ Jo Nattawut in the cage with 4oz gloves on. His Scottish pride meant he still managed to finish the fight on his feet. Somehow. It should have been stopped. Mann went viral for his Hematoma and will always be a part of MMA history.
Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva leg break
Karma or just bad luck, as we know Weidman had 2 wins against the great Anderson Silva however both came in poor fashion. The first was Silva’s own doing, the second was one of the worst leg breaks in MMA history. What made it worse was Silva was trying to settle the scoreboard after making a silly mistake in the first fight.
One of the worst injuries in UFC which seen Silva’s shin snap on Weidman’s leg.
Chris Weidman’s luck ran out and unfortunately got a taste of the pain himself against Uriah Hall when his leg did the exact same thing. (with worse effects) His leg broke in half. Weidman has had 2 surgeries on the leg already and hasn’t been back in action since.
Conor leg break
Conor’s best days are behind him we can all agree on that however, this was probably one of his worst. At UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier; His leg folded underneath him and its a sight to see. The Conor leg break is gut wrenching. He didn’t quit, he survived the round and the doctor stopped it. That’s a warriors mentality.
Conor true to himself still delivered his post fight interview full of spite. Rogan got his interview. – He always does.
ROGAN: He said that he believes that one of the kicks he checked broke your leg.

Evangelista ‘Cyborg’ Santos – Skull break
At Bellator 158 MVP vs Cyborg went down as one of the most memorable knockouts in MMA history. When you watch this knee KO happen in real time it looks bad but.. you don’t realise the extent of the damage it caused. MVP (Michael ‘venom’ Page) delivered a flying knee to his opponent which stopped the contest in the second round.
Cyborg falls on his front and his wailing his legs in pain covering his face.
It’s not until you see Cyborg’s head x-ray until you realise the damage from MVP’s knee KO. It’s horrifying. I’m surprised he is still alive. Can you imagine the pain he must have been in?
Adding insult to injury MVP grabs a ‘Pokeball’ and rolls it at his downed opponent. This tops the worst injuries in MMA history by far.
I watched this event live and it seemed like a pretty standard flying knee KO however this x-ray of Cyborg’s skulls shows us exactly why he was kicking his legs and screaming in pain at the time.

Again MVP is back. With this brtual “cobra kick” which sent his opponents knee to another dimension. This is a hard watch and one of the most brutal injuries I have ever seen in MMA

Mitrione’s eye
In the heavyweight division, a single blow can be enough to end a fight. Unfortunately, this was not the only way that Matt Mitrione’s 2016 bout with Travis Browne ended. Mitrione was on the receiving end of two vicious eye pokes that caused one of the most horrific injuries in MMA history. Although Browne ultimately won the fight via TKO in the third round, Mitrione’s severely swollen eye was a disturbing sight. Commentator Mike Goldberg speculated that the swelling may have been caused by the earlier eye pokes, but it was actually a punch that led to the injury. Regardless, Mitrione’s ability to see was certainly impacted.
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
During UFC 140 – Frank Mir applied a Kimura submission hold on Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, who is known as one of the founding figures of Brazilian MMA and holds a fifth-degree black belt in BJJ. Despite the excruciating pain, Nogueira chose not to surrender and the resulting pressure caused one of the most gruesome arm-breaks ever seen in the sport. The fight was immediately called off due to the injury.
