Today we go through a list of the highest paid fighters of all time (scaled with inflation) So many fighters finish their careers with nothing to show for it which is crazy when you see how much some of them make!

Conor Mcgregor

The notorious one is making more money now (as a worse fighter) than he ever has before. We all know the UFC generally don’t pay their fighters what they are worth and I hope this changes, but its not the UFC where Mcgregor has made most of his money! He made $22 M from fighting alone and a massive $158M outside of fighting in 2020-21 Mainly through his whiskey brand

Manny Pacquiao

Similar to Conor his better days are behind him unfortunately. Despite only.. (only) making $26,000,000 this year he still makes the list for highest paid fighters from previous years. In his fight with Floyd Mayweather he took home a cool $120,000,000 (which he didn’t even win) for that one fight alone working out at over $55,000 a second. Wow. There fight is currently the most sold PPV in history.

Where does his money go?

Manny has donated “over half” of his earnings to less fortunate people of his home country (estimated $500,000,000) He does live well with a number of properties worldwide the most costing $9,000,000 and has built over 1,000 homes for homeless Filipinos. What a guy.

Mike Tyson

From living in the gutter to becoming the youngest heavyweight champion of all time. This is going to be interesting. One thing we can be sure of is that Mike has definitely been one of the highest paid fighters of all time, everyone knew when he was fighting and everyone wanted to watch. The general consensus (adjusting for inflation) is that Tyson had made over $700,000,000 over his fight career despite this was declared bankrupt in 2003. He was ripped off by everyone in his boxing career, they all wanted a slice of the pie. Caught in the moment, young and naive there was no pie left.

Canelo Álvarez

Canelo is currently the golden boy of boxing signing a deal of $300,000,000 with Dazn. He has only one loss from no other than Floyd Mayweather, since that fight he has matured as a fighter and become much more commercially attractive to sponsors and fans alike. In his most recent fight he took home $35,000,000 and I think there is much more to come.

Floyds main focus was always money, every fight he did was a business transaction to him. He has changed the boxing game (arguably for the worse) but the undefeated love me or hate me gimmick has worked for him. Floyd has been involved in the top 4 biggest purse fights of all time. As of 2023 Floyd Mayweather’s net worth is expected to be approximately $500,000,000.
